Shipping to the Rest of the World

We ship Alias23 parts globally — Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, the UAE, and pretty much anywhere else McLaren and Lotus owners are. Local duties and taxes vary by country, so here's a guide to the main markets we ship to, with worked examples based on a typical $500 order so you can see what you'd actually pay.

Heads up — these are guide figures based on the most common case for automotive parts. The exact duty rate depends on the specific item and its HS code.

Australia

GST (10%) applies on all orders, plus duty of around 5% on automotive parts. Couriers also charge a small processing fee. For orders over AUD 1,000 the customs paperwork is a bit more involved but the rates are the same.

Item Example (AUD)
Parts in your cart ~AUD 760
Shipping shown at checkout
Duty (~5% on auto parts) ~AUD 38
GST (10%) ~AUD 76
Courier processing fee ~AUD 50–90
Total on arrival ~AUD 164–204

Canada

GST (5%) applies everywhere, with provincial sales tax on top in most provinces — so the combined rate runs from 5% in Alberta up to 15% in the Atlantic provinces. Duty on automotive parts is usually 0–6.5%. Courier handles clearance and contacts you for payment.

Switzerland

Everywhere else

If your country isn't listed above, the general rule is: expect to pay local VAT/sales tax plus possible duty plus a courier handling fee. Your courier or local customs office will have a duty calculator on their website.

How it works (everywhere)

You pay us for the parts and shipping at checkout — Alias23 prices don't include UK VAT, so there's nothing to subtract. When the parcel arrives in your country, the courier contacts you for any local duty, tax, and their handling fee. Pay it, parcel gets delivered. Standard process — same as ordering from any other small UK retailer.
