Full Brake Kit - Front & Rear

The stock OEM McLaren pads are perfectly fine for the road. However if you're starting to go on track or your on-road driving is, let's say, somewhat spirited, they can become a little bit of a liability.

As you would expect from a road-designed pad, they wear very quickly when used beyond normal road driving. This wear unfortunately is not just isolated to the pad but also accelerates wear of the ceramic discs — and those discs are not cheap to replace.

By switching to a track/road designed pad — Pagid RSC1 being my preference — you get a pad engineered for more aggressive driving that is, by design, significantly kinder to both the pad itself and those expensive ceramic discs.

RSC1 Compound – Key Characteristics

  • Specifically engineered for use with ceramic brake discs
  • Kind to discs — the RSC1 compound is notably gentler on carbon ceramic discs compared to OEM pads, helping to extend disc life considerably
  • Flat friction curve over a wide temperature range — predictable, consistent braking feel
  • Medium initial bite with medium friction level — confidence-inspiring without being aggressive
  • Suitable for track day and spirited road use

Pagid RSC1 pads are an excellent all-round performer. If your driving is more road than track, these are a great choice. If you're doing serious track mileage and want maximum performance alongside disc protection, also consider the Endless CCD-A pads which offer stronger outright performance but at a higher price point.

Please note: This is a full kit — front and rear pads. It is not possible to mix pad compounds front to rear. Bedding in is crucial — please follow the correct bedding-in process carefully.

Pagid RSC1 brake pads are designed for competition / off-road use.
